Jack and the Magical Flute

Jack once had to sell a cow at the market

In exchange for some money.

He wouldn’t except anything else,

No clothes, no food, no honey.

But then came someone

Dressed in a neat suit.

Jack sold him the cow

In exchange for a magical flute!

His mother was furious

And very, very mad.

Jack got no food

And was very, very sad.

He played the flute

And was heard by a bird

Who came into Jack’s room

And was not at all scared.

Jack followed the bird

To a chest filled with treasure.

He had to get it home,

There was no time for leisure!

Jack never

Saw the man

But they were also

Never poor again!
