The following night, Angie prepared for the ceremony. It was only a few hours long so she could easily slip out of bed for a while and still have a good night’s sleep.
When she arrived, she saw many fairies laughing and chattering including the one which she had seen crying in the forest. She looked very happy now.
Many fairy children played hide and seek or catch. Others under one year waddled along but could not yet fly.
Heather spotted Angie. “You made it! I’ve reserved a seat for you at the front row,” exclaimed the fairy.
Angie looked up at the moon, it was indeed a very light shade of blue. She had never noticed this before!
After a few minutes, the ceremony started and Angela watched closely as the queen lifted up the fiery orange gem. Fairy children walked up excitedly in twos, hand in hand whilst others were being held by their parents since they could not yet walk. ZAP! went a streak of orange light onto their wings.A smile lit up on their adorable faces as they spread their wings for the first time.
Angie could not get her eyes off those cute children!
