The Forest’s Secret Chapter 12

Drops of water fell from the ceiling and splashed to the ground. Stalagmites and stalactites grew from every corner. The girl’s footsteps echoed throughout, she was now in the cave.

“Now it’s time to search for the goblins. I’ll have to be quiet, I don’t want them to hear me,” she thought to herself.

No odd sounds were to be heard, Angie thought that maybe they were further deep in the cave. After a few steps she heard a sort of buzzing sound. As she got closer, Angela could make out the sound better, it was the sound of singing, talking and dancing.

The girl peeped inside a small opening, that was where the sound seemed to be coming from. She saw hundreds of short, slim figures with the same light green skin and pointed ears. They wore pieces of brown leather draped around their body to keep warm.

“I should try to make my way in without being seen, maybe I can manage spot the gem,” Angela said to herself.She tried to do just that, but without warning she slipped on a tiny rock. The music stopped and all heads turned to face her.

“Human!” the goblins all shouted with rough voices.,
